Email Sending Options

So you’ve set up a professional business website? Great! This is a critical must have for any business in today’s internet world. Another important decision that business owners face is how to set up email.  This is important as it is also a factor in how your product/service will be perceived. Every business will have different needs regarding email depending on the size of your business and the amount of email correspondence that takes place. Boise based Simple CMS Design would like to share three email options to consider.

  1. Continue using existing email accounts. A lot of clients already have emails set up for their businesses through services such as Yahoo!, Gmail, MSN, etc. These accounts are separate from the website’s domain. It is certainly an option to keep these accounts.  This typically works best for smaller businesses with emails that have been used for several years.
  2. Hosting emails with web host providers. This is the most popular arrangement. Email addresses with this setup have addresses like This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. This method hosts emails and email accounts on the same server and account as the business website. Setting up an email address using this format is desirable as it presents a highly professional appearance to prospective clients.
  3. Hosting emails on a separate email server from your website. This strategy works best for larger companies that need to be able to handle large volumes of email correspondence. What this means is emails are hosted on specific email servers or servers with high storage capacities. Clients typically use one provider for the website and another provider for the emails. The advantage is that using separate servers adds extra security protection to businesses. Should one of the servers go down (website or email), the other server will still be functional and secure.

Depending on business needs, there are different options for business emails. For further information or to consult on your specific business email needs, please contact Simple CMS Design today. We will work with you to find the email solution that works to help you grow your business!
